One Example of Narration

The audience for a narrative is important and surprising.

This method was developed as a structure for Research Grant
Applications and proved very successful.

I enjoy the theatre and simplicity of the “Minto” narrative method (situation, complication, question and answer):

1. A compelling positive, reassuring set of statements about the future of Industrial Design that everyone can agree on.

2. Inconvenient truths that will engage (and in some instances repel) people as they undermine the initial ease.

3. A question that summarises the problems and allows for a simply delivered but potentially complex solution.
